‘Student Launch’: Elevating High School Entrepreneurship

In my previous post (linked here), I outlined the impetus for creating Student Launch: we have a valuable opportunity to foster a purpose-driven entrepreneurial mindset and create more business growth right in our student community. This, in turn, will build bridges to have a positive impact on our broader community. We network, brainstorm ideas, and encourage each other’s creativity. Magic happens in collaboration. Here are the latest developments and updates that promise to make this a great inaugural year.

Official High School Club Status

I’m excited to announce that ‘Student Launch’ has officially become a high school club. This is the beginning of a journey to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset within our student community and, hopefully, student communities across the country.

Reminiscent of our challenges over the summer bringing Serene Habits to market (read the story here), it took longer than we expected. I am realizing that this will likely be an ongoing entrepreneurial theme – my excitement and motivation will not always incite others to move faster! And some necessary background processes just take time.

Meet the Board

As we build the foundation for ‘Student Launch’, I’m excited to introduce the Board members who will be steering the ship with me – Jacob, my committed Serene Habits launch partner, and our business-minded good friend, Alex. Together, we bring a diverse range of skills and perspectives to the table, ready to steer Student Launch towards success.

Coach Rohde: Our Sponsoring Teacher

We’re fortunate to have Coach Rohde, one of my basketball coaches, as our sponsoring teacher. Weekly meetings in Coach Rohde’s room provide us with a dedicated space to collaborate and strategize. His involvement emphasizes the importance of support and mentorship in the entrepreneurial landscape.

Membership Growth and Instagram Outreach

We’ve been hard at work building our membership, and social media has played a strategic role in our outreach efforts. We are using Instagram to help students stay updated on club activities, events, and opportunities. We believe in the strength of a supportive community, and Instagram provides the perfect platform for improved reach to diverse students.

Exploring the GPT Store

Looking ahead, one of our primary goals for the coming months is to position ourselves at the forefront of the upcoming GPT Store launch in 2024. Engaging discussions and brainstorming sessions are in progress as we explore innovative ways to capitalize on this exciting opportunity. Being pioneers in emerging trends is a key to entrepreneurial success.

Building Bridges in the Wider Community

While we continue to expand within our school, community outreach remains a priority. We are laying the groundwork for collaborations with other schools in our district and planning free community meetups. Our goal is to share the knowledge and experiences gained within ‘Student Launch’, making a positive impact on young entrepreneurs beyond our immediate community.

Conclusion

With the Board in place, Coach Rohde’s support, and a developing Instagram community, ‘Student Launch’ is set for a successful year. Stay tuned for more updates, events, and opportunities as we collectively shape the future of ‘Student Launch’!
