This summer, I had the extraordinary opportunity to spend ten days at the University of Notre Dame as part of its prestigious Leadership Seminars—an intensive academic experience designed for rising high school seniors with a passion for inquiry, reflection, and leadership. I participated in the Business Seminar led by Professor James Otteson, exploring the role of business in a just and humane society. From world-class professors to prayer services by candlelight and conversations that stretched far into the night, my time at Notre Dame left me inspired, challenged, and more committed than ever to building a purpose-driven future through entrepreneurship.

This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to attend Leadership in the Business World (LBW), a three-week program hosted by the Wharton Global Youth Program at the University of Pennsylvania. LBW brings together future leaders from around the globe to explore business, entrepreneurship, leadership, and communication in one of the world’s top undergraduate business environments. I feel honored to have spent my summer alongside such a talented and diverse cohort. This was a great experience that deepened my understanding of leadership, challenged me intellectually, and connected me with peers and mentors who I know will remain a valued part of my network.

This summer, I had the incredible opportunity to intern with Timber Age, a pioneering passive housing startup based in Durango, Colorado. Timber Age is revolutionizing the residential construction industry with its commitment to sustainability and innovative use of Passive House Certified Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT). My internship with Timber Age was an exceptional learning experience that offered deep insights into the entrepreneurial startup space, significant opportunities for personal and professional growth, and the incredible honor of contributing to a company that is truly making a difference.

This summer, I attended the BOLD@Olin Summer Pre-Collegiate Program at Washington University in St. Louis. From learning with esteemed Olin Business School faculty to exploring the city’s iconic landmarks, the experience was enriching and unforgettable. Highlights included a consulting project with a local school, personal branding and resume workshops, and building a new community with thought-peers from around the country. Discover how this program helped shape my academic and professional aspirations.

It all started with a spark of inspiration and the drive to create something meaningful. In June 2023 Jacob and I embarked on the entrepreneurial journey of launching Serene Habits LLC, a social media-driven e-commerce company. It was an adventure fueled by entrepreneurial passion, creativity, and the desire to better understand the challenges of building and running a successful business. Last month, after an amazing year, Jacob and I made the difficult decision to close the company. Join me as I reflect on the highs and lows, and the amazing lessons learned in my first year of entrepreneurship.

Last weekend, I had the honor of attending the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) Seminar at Arizona State University. Founded in 1958 and now one of the foremost organizations dedicated to youth leadership development, HOBY’s mission is to inspire and develop our global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service, and innovation. This was an amazing weekend, full of growth and connection, on my journey towards becoming a more effective and compassionate leader making a meaningful impact on the world.
